Cleaning Spree

I suppose you heard of shopping spree but have you heard of cleaning spree? Now you do!
Even though there have been a few less busy weekends, instead of going out I have been going on a cleaning spree, just can't get enough of the cleaning. Although it is just my room but let me tell you, I threw out so many paper and magazines as well as killing a few cockcroaches and the results are very satisfying.

After the cleaning, my back hurts so much from the bending over and mopping of the floor over and over again and while my cleaning spirit is high, I just want to go on and on and on. And this weekend, which is a long one, I spent a few hours 2 days in a row at IKEA buying lots of storage and organizing stuff..lots more cleaning to come!

Somewhere Over The Rainbow

A few weeks back, when walking to my exercise class in Tampines I saw this pinkish blue sky which was beautiful so I whipped out my handphone and while doing that, I heard some students shouting to their friends "Did you see the rainbow?". Huh? What rainbow? But when I turned my head the other direction, I saw the most wonderous looking rainbow against the beautiful sky I saw. The funny thing is rainbow usually comes about after the rain but it was only starting to drizzle when I caught this sight. It starts me wondering if there is a pot of gold at the end of this rainbow...sigh. Anyhow it also brings me to think of this lovely song called "Somewhere Over The Rainbow", I like this version by Matthew Morrison on Glee! It was performed on the last episode of Season 1, love the episode.

Enjoy!

Indonesian who lost all in casino at Resorts World Sentosa, stole at airport
SINGAPORE: An Indonesian man who lost all the S$1,000 he had with him at the Resorts World Sentosa casino was jailed for four weeks after pleading guilty to stealing a handphone from an undergraduate at Changi Airport.

The unemployed Indonesian, Paulus Djohar, stole the S$500 handphone from Ms Lim Tse Min at Terminal 1 on Tuesday.

He had intended to get some cash from the sale of the handphone.

The court heard Djohar came to Singapore from Malaysia last Tuesday with the intention of patronising the newly—opened casino at Sentosa.

As he lost all his money gambling at the casino on Monday, the second day of its opening, he decided to steal from passengers at Changi Airport.

Djohar went to the airport early Tuesday morning.

He then approached Ms Lim, who was with a group sending off a friend going to Australia to study.

One of them saw Djohar brushed his hands across Ms Lim’s backpack and walked away quickly.

The witness alerted Ms Lim who discovered her handphone missing from the side pocket of her backpack.

Ms Lim and the witness confronted Djohar and filed a police report"

Scotts Beef Noodles

After hearing so many friends saying that the Scotts Beef Noodles have resurfaced at Ion Orchard, I couldn't resist trying it today for lunch since I was in the area today.

After so much anticipation, I must say the whole hoo hah about this stall is overrated and utterly disappointing.

I used to eat at Scotts Food Court alot and always have the beef noodles there so trust me I know how the original taste like. Other than the chilli, the rest of the setup was not the same as the original. The gravy doesn't look as dark and the biggest disappointment for me I must say is the missing salted vegetables. The soup taste bland and lack the beefy taste and the beef balls though bouncy doesn't seems to be seasoned enough.

All in all, it was a total waste of my $6.50....but if I never try I will never know so once bitten twice shy, you will never see me spend my money on the noodles again!

Is this consider good customer service?

Saw this article and is wondering whether people consider this good customer service or it is a disgusting idea?

"UK - If you find your bed too cold to sleep in, staff employees at Holiday Inn will soon help warm your bed up for you.

According to Reuters, the Holiday Inn chain is will offer its employees up as bedwarmers in a trial service in three hotels in Britain this month.

On request, a staff-member at the Holiday Inn will dress in an all-in-one fleece sleeper suit before slipping into bed. The bed warmer will also have a thermometer to measure the bed's required temperature of 20 degrees Celsius.

This service will apply to two of its London hotels and one hotel in Manchester. In an email to Reuters, the hotel spokeswoman Jane Bednall said, "The new Holiday Inn bed warmers service is a bit like having a giant hot water bottle in your bed."

Sleep-expert Chris Idzikowski, director of the Edinburgh Sleep Center, said that there is plenty of scientific evidence to show that sleep starts at the beginning of the night when body temperature starts to drop. "A warm bed - approximately 20 to 24 Celsius - is a good way to start this process whereas a cold bed would inhibit sleep." "

Talented Rio

Rio Ferdinand, one of the defenders of Man Utd is so talented. I know he has a magazine and now he is designing and producing footwear and even act as the model....AND that's not all, he even has his own restaurant call Rosso in Manchester.

I actually went passed the restaurant twice but too bad, did not see any footballers hanging around. But I managed to take a photo of the restaurant for everyone to see.
