A few weeks ago before I went on my business trip, I came upon this insect on the wall of my lift lobby.
It was huge, so huge it looks like a butterfly but yet it is totally black that looks more like a moth.
My dad and I ended up 'arguing' whether it is a butterfly or it is a moth, he said it is a moth because butterflies will close their wings when they are still...hmmm I am not sure whether his logic is right but if it is a moth, it is a bloody huge one man.
Its a Moth.Lyssa zampa also known as a Laos brown butterfly is a species of moth of the family Uraniidae. It is found in the Indomalaya ecozone.
ReplyDeleteThe wingspan is 100-160 mm. The moth flies from June to August depending on the location.
